Spring
Spring is a perfect opportunity for a photographer to capture the beauty
of the native flowers of this region. Whether it's a stroll through
the local parks to enjoy the tulips and daffodils, or hiking through
the forest to see the grounds covered with trilliums and wildflowers,
it only comes but once a year. Our property boasts one of the most beautiful
display of trilliums in the Muskoka. This is also a great time to explore
all of the local gifts, crafts, & antique shops in the surrounding
area.
Summer
Summer in Muskoka is the ultimate experience with endless activities
for the whole family to enjoy. Muskoka Moments is located on Lake
Vernon which offers over 40 miles of boating and excellent fishing.
The lake is suitable for all water sports including canoeing, water-skiing, &
tubing. We have a safe, sandy beach with docking facilities & boat
rentals. At days end, take in the beautiful sunset and prepare for a
relaxing evening sitting around the campfire. As a new day begins, there
are many activities that you can choose from. Mountain biking, hiking
and walking are great with many local trails. For the golf enthusiast,
there are 5 local courses ranging from a family course to executive
9 and professional 18 holes. Downtown Huntsville offers over 120 shops
and services with small town appeal.
Fall
Thousands of people travel to Muskoka each year to be captivated
by the collage of spectacular fall colours. Of the four seasons,
it is by far the most breathtaking. For the sports enthusiasts,
there are still many activities to enjoy in the fall such as hiking,
biking, golfing, boating & fishing. Or if you prefer a more
relaxing getaway, visiting the local artists in their studios, antique
shops, or sampling one of Muskoka's full range of excellent dining
facilities.
Winter
Muskoka Moments becomes a snowmobilers and outdoor enthusiast's paradise
in winter. Located on Lake Vernon in the heart of Muskoka, there are unlimited
recreational possibilities. Muskoka boasts the best snowmobile trail system
in Ontario with more than 2,000 km. of finely groomed trails, which are
accessible right from our doorstep. The regions natural beauty will take
your breath away. Muskoka also offers many other winter sports activities
such as cross-country skiing (with 15 km. of trails right next door),
downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowtubing, tobogganing, skating, snowshoeing,
icefishing, dog sledding & sleigh rides.
